Oh, hello there! Welcome to my new website and the blog that goes with it! I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you find something that makes your visit worthwhile. Over the coming weeks and months I’ll be sharing my newest work, and talking about the things that I’m passionate about. For sure you can expect some travel diaries, an occasional gear review, and probably some attempts at humor that may or may not land as intended.
The latest from my Instagram Feed:

Along the southern coastof Iceland, near the town of Vik, we stopped to visit Dyrhólaey. After driving up a windy gravel road we realized the cliffs and rocks below us are home to puffin colonies and other sea birds.

We started our second day in Iceland with a short drive out of Reykjavik to Brúarfoss. Located along the "golden circle" driving route, this is a slightly less visited waterfall at the end of a 3.5km hike (each way). Along the hike there are 2 other falls: Hlauptungufoss and Midfoss. Parking for the hike is free, and although the trail is usually muddy, it's fairly easy otherwise and well worth the trip! The striking blue water gives the waterfall its name, and is due to the source of the water: glacial melt.

Recently spent a week in Iceland exploring. The first day was spent driving around the Reykjanes Peninsula and ended in Reykjavik for the night. It was our first time there, and I was instantly amazed at the beauty and variety in the landscapes.

Got this orchid at the grocery store a couple years ago and it's still going strong!

I'm testing out a new camera this week. Thanks to the 12 fps shutter and amazing focus tracking abilities of the Canon EOS R5 I got this shot: A Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher chasing a Grackle that found some sort of fast food wrapper. Can't say enough good things about this camera!

After 16 months of working from home, summer is here! I’ve been getting out of the house more, going for walks with my camera, and finding scenes that start to capture the season here in Texas. I’ve included a few here; I think they really represent this summer for me so far.
