Birds and Wildlife

I have only really begun photographing birds over the last year while isolating at home, but I’ve loved birds for far longer than that. The first challenge of course was related to equipment: its hard to get close in on a small and skittish subject when your longest lens is a 70-200. I purchased a 100-400 lens this year and then set to work on the next challenge: learning to focus on small moving subjects and not scare them away. I’m getting better at that, although I’ve limited myself for now to the wildlife I can see from my backyard. As the world opens back up that will change, and I hope to keep improving my bird and wildlife photography.
